case number 21 06/14/2008
An 8 years old Labrador Retriever was presented due to lethargy, lameness and swelling f both front legs. There are periostal proliferations along the diaphyses of the radius, ulna and metacarpal bones with adjacent soft tissue swelling. Similar changes were viewed in all other 3 legs. These findings are compatible with Hypertrohic Osteopathy (HO). This condition may occur secondary to pulmonary masses, and occasionally to abdominal disease, e.g. hepatic or urinary bladder neoplasia, cystic calculi. CommentsLeave a Reply |
