History:
a shelter cat, male castrated, unknown age.
Chronic nasal discharge and upper respiratory symptoms, not responsive to antibiotics

Findings:
There is near complete soft tissue opacification of the left nasal cavity.
There is reduced to the detail on the left. The nasal septum appeared intact.
There are multiple missing teeth.
Together with the clinical history, these findings are suspicious for an aggressive process such as a nasal tumor.
Lymphoma or an adenocarcinoma would be most common.
Nasal cryptococcal infection is an additional possibility.
An inhaled foreign body with a severe secondary inflammatory response could also be considered.
Rhinoscopy with biopsies would be recommended to further assess these findings.  CT examination of the skull would also be recommended as radiographs typically significantly underestimate the extent of pathology.
Cryptococcus Ag is also indicated.
